Being a Professional
A professional is the expert, the individual who does the outstanding job, the person you turn to when you want a job done right.
The professional knows his job and the best and most economical way of doing it, and does it in just that way. A professional has pride in his work, his company and himself. To be called a professional is a very great compliment.
If someone were to categorize you, do you think they would categorize you as a “professional?” Do you do a professional job? Do you act professionally with your co-workers? Do you act professionally with clients or customers?
Professionalism is one of the things disappearing in business nowadays. It’s great to be informal and friendly with clients you’ve known for years; you’ve already built a reputation with them. However, new clients will be building new ideas on your behavior, work ethic, and personality. They base this on how you present yourself.
You usually only get one shot to give a “first impression.”
Make sure it’s a professional one.
